Venture Overhead Console Issue

I have a 99 Venture with overhead console included is the dispaly. I can unplug it. Plug it back in and it will work for two days or an hour. Any idea's what is going wrong? I have been looking for a replacment but they are hard to find. HELP my wife is from the Midwest she needs her compass!!!!!!! LOL

my aunts van has the same problem ... i havn't really had time to mess wit it but I've only seen it work once ...

Same issue here. Try to find a display unit from a pick and pull lot. Make sure you get one from a 98 or 99 though. The wiring schematic changed on 2000+ so they won't work.
