My 1998 Venture shifts well under normal driving conditions even when pulling a trailer.The problem is when pushed to hard acceleration or at kick down the trans will not shift it hangs and almost feels like a slip.Can anyone help me figure this out?

 

I think I have the same problem as this, let me guess, it feels like it wants to shift into a higher gear but won't until you tap the gas. Am I correct?

 

no not exactly. It does want to shift up but will not shift until I back off the accelerator.It is no race car but when I need it to move quick it has to shift right.any Ideas what the cause might be?
