Default Replacing Fuel Pump On 2002 S-10 (4 Door)

It's dead in the driveway. I was told the easiest way to access and replace the pump is to cut an access panel in the front of the box instead of dropping the tank ect. My 2002 S 10 is the 4 door model, 4x4, short box. Is this possible before I have it hauled off? Thanks in advance!

Yes it is possible. If this a pick up with the short box then it is easier to unbolt the box and slide it back to gain access to the tank.
