front end raising, torsion bars clockwise?
Ihave a 1996 K2500 4X4 Suburban and wanted to level out the front end (sits low) Do I adjust the torsion bars clockwise to raise it? Thanks

Tightening thekeys (clockwise) raises the torsion bars. It'll take a 18mm wrench/socketBe wary of t-bar lifts. If you lift it too high, you can damage the CV boots and put extra wear on the CV joints over time. Also a t-bar lift will typically dramatically decrease the ride quality.

The 'keys' (bolts) are located on the crossmemeber on the middle of the frame.Sorry for the crappy pic, but here is what I'm talking about. Pic is from the drivers side.

Adjusted torsion keys 6 turns and it has pretty well leveled out the SUB. Sittin' pretty now! Thanks for the info EuroGoldLS! The prior owner must have done a lot of trailer pulling. The bolts were hanging down from the cross members almost an inch! It was ready for Talladega!

RE: front end raising, torsion bars clockwise?
I've heard adjusting the T-bars on a 5-10 year old truck is bad cause you can snap the T'bar right in two while you're going down the road.So would I be able to do this on my 92' Silverado or 94' Silverado and be ok?I don't want to torque them way up.I just want to level my truck out a little bit.Think this would be ok?
