I want to take out my front diff to make it 2x4 and replace my torsion bar setup with apair of coilovers. Has anyone done this before?

Smoother ride is the biggest perk. You're pin to have to do some fab work and swap to 2wd hubs but it can be done. Stronger top mount since the 4wd upper shock mount isn't meant to hold the weight of the vehicle like a 2wd is an gonna have to modify the lower control arm mount to fit the coilover mounts.

Thanks for the info. My transfer case is making noise and I need two new half shafts. The truck is just sitting and I need a little project.
