Ford Super Duty Towing Chevy Silverado Stolen, Hits Multiple Vehicles

This illegally parked Chevy Silverado was in the process of being removed when the owner confronted the driver, stole the tow truck, and hit multiple vehicles.

Road rage incidents are simply a daily occurrence in today’s world, one filled with people on edge and stressed out about all kinds of things. Problem is, those things tend to add up and eventually cause some folks to boil over and do things that, well, are typically ill-advised and oftentimes illegal. That’s precisely the case with a Chevy Silverado owner in Brooklyn, New York recently, who gave us a shining example of what it’s like to get, well, a bit too angry over a less-than-ideal situation.

According to Bronx News 12, that Chevy Silverado owner parked his pickup in front of the service doors of an industrial loading zone in Sunset Park recently, which is obviously going to result in a tow truck being called, as anyone who’s mildly familiar with big cities such as this already knows. That’s precisely what happened, but when the tow truck arrived and began hooking up the Chevy Silverado, the owner apparently noticed and confronted the driver.

This confrontation got ugly quick, with the Silverado owner using copious amounts of profanity to inform the tow truck driver that he wouldn’t be taking his pickup on this day, or any day, apparently. From there, things only got worse, as he proceeded to steal the tow truck – with his Silverado dangling from the rear – and smash into multiple vehicles on his way down the street.

Things only got worse from there, as the Chevy Silverado eventually fell completely off the tow truck and landed on its roof, causing major damage. As for the perpetrator in this incident, he eventually hit a city bus head-on with the tow truck, though apparently – and quite shockingly – no one was hurt as a result of this transgression. That isn’t true of the many vehicles that wound up damaged as a result, however.

Police were reportedly still trying to locate the man as of the time of this report, who will likely be charged with multiple crimes, head to court, and most likely spend at least a little time in jail as a result. Unfortunately for the folks whose vehicles were damaged in this incident, the problem may not be quite as easy to rectify, with at least one noting that they can’t afford to fix it on their own. As for the rest of us, well, we’re once again receiving a great reminder of why it’s never a good idea to let our anger get the best of us – nor is it advisable to park in a no-parking zone, for that matter.
