Custom Custom 1964 Chevy C10

This 1964 Chevy C10 is a true rolling work of art that’s just as clean underneath as it is on the outside, and it’s heading to auction soon.

The Chevy C10 pickup existed for a very long time – from 1960 to 1987, in fact, which is quite impressive for any automotive model. As such, it should come as no surprise that the C10 remains as popular as it ever was, with plenty of folks keen to restore or modify them in various ways. We’ve certainly seen our fair share of wild, modded C10s over the years, making it pretty hard to come up with something that’s impressive or different. However, this 1964 Chevy C10 certainly hits all of those notes, and it’s a truly stunning piece of machinery, to boot.

This 1964 Chevy C10 is scheduled to cross the block at Barrett-Jackson’s upcoming 2025 Fall Scottsdale auction in October, where it will undoubtedly command a pretty penny, we’d assume. For starters, the body was media-blasted to take it down to bare metal before being smoothed out completely and treated to shaved door handles and rain gutters, one-piece door glass, a custom hood, bed seam smoothing, glued-in front and rear windows, and a custom lower valance, plus taillights taken from a vintage Cadillac.

Inside the bed, one will find a Sapele wood floor coated in polyurethane for protection, as if anyone would ever actually throw stuff back there. The whole thing rolls on a set of 18-inch Foose Impala wheels wrapped with Mickey Thompson Street radial tires, providing some contrast to the Candy Apple Red paint. Those wheels also cover a boxed and reinforced frame finished in the same hue, with a Jim Meyer Racing double-A frame front suspension with QA1 shocks and Wilwood brakes at all four corners.

Inside, one will find a custom, hand-constructed cabin put together by Craig Renn Interiors in Clovis, California, with high-quality hides throughout. One will also undoubtedly notice goodies like a billet steering wheel, Vintage Air HVAC, and Dakota Digital gauges, providing a modern boost to this vintage ride.

That’s also true of what powers this 1964 Chevy C10 – a massive 540 cubic-inch V8 fitted with a laundry list of upgrades – a Callies crank and rods, a Comp Cams roller cam, ported Rehr-Morrison aluminum heads, Jesel roller rockers, Johnson roller lifters, a BDS 10-71 blower, and Enderle fuel injection, plus custom ceramic-coated headers. It sends an unspecified amount of power to the wheels via a built 700R4 manual valve-body transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear end with Yukon 33-spline axles, Eaton positraction, and 4.11 gears.

The results of all that work (and investment), well, they speak for themselves. This is easily one of the nicest C10s we’ve seen in a long time, if ever, and we imagine that plenty of bidders in Arizona will agree with that sentiment when it goes up for sale next month.
