With barely any miles on the clock, this immaculate 1979 Chevy C20 is far nicer than the average barn find.

These days, it’s not uncommon to see incredibly low-mile vintage vehicles surface for sale, mainly because, well, barn hunting is a profitable venture. This applies to even old trucks, which have gained quite a bit of favor in the collector vehicle market as of late. Thus, we’re lucky enough to see things like this – an immaculate, like-new 1979 Chevy C20 pickup that recently popped up for sale on Craiglist in the Wilmington, Pennsylvania area, which has an incredibly low 5,200 original miles showing on the odometer.

While many old barn finds like this one aren’t always in the best shape – typically, they’re covered in grime and rodent droppings, not to mention surface rust – this 1979 Chevy C20 looks like it was stored in some climate-controlled, dust-free chamber over the past few decades, a truck that redefines “time capsule.” The Bow Tie hauler originally hails from Colorado, but with no rust to be found anywhere, it was clearly never used during the winter months.

The seller does note that the truck has a few scratches and a dent in the hood, but it’s still wearing its factory paint, regardless. All of the trim is in excellent, like-new condition, though the seller did wisely choose to replace the old tires with a fresh set of rubber – but for those that want to see them, they also retained the 1978 date-coded rollers.

With new plugs and wires underhood, the truck’s 454 V8 also reportedly runs great, as one would expect from a truck that has traveled so few miles. The same goes for all of its features and switches, each of which is apparently in perfect working order, while the air conditioning even blows cold as it should. Peek inside the column, and it’s clearly like taking a trip back to the late 1970s – the tan cloth interior is in brand-new condition throughout.

Trucks like this simply don’t grow on trees, but it also isn’t exactly cheap with an asking price of $39,500. But while some survivors come with a lot of question marks, this example clearly looks like the real deal, as well as a fantastic collector grade square body for anyone in the market.
