Don’t Have a Car in Baltimore? GM’s Here to Help
Maven City car-sharing program revolutionizes city’s public transit options.
General Motors has given Baltimoreans the ability to get around town without having to rely on a car via its Maven City car-sharing program.
GM reports that Baltimore, Maryland, is experiencing a rise in residents that want to reside and work in the city but who don’t want to own a vehicle. This has opened the door for Maven to enter the market by offering roughly 20 stations around the city.
Maven City provides Baltimoreans with access to new vehicles, including the Chevrolet Cruze, Tahoe and Malibu, as well as the GMC Acadia, at an hourly or daily rate. Currently, members can reserve one of the company’s 40 vehicles through a mobile app, which also allows them to pay the rental fee, with prices starting at $8 per hour.
