BUILDUP A 1993 Cheyenne 1500 Build
It’s always nice to see someone take on a challenging build. Firstly because it helps to educate the rest of the Chevy community in relation to how to do many different things with the given ride, and secondly because many of these rigs would be lost causes without such a daring person to undertake the project.
Chevrolet Forum member Shawn (A.K.A. bigdawg250r) has taken on a build such as this. In fact, he had decided to face one thing that often makes many others shy away: Frame damage.
According to him, the frame needs to a “patch” or “reinforcing” to be fixed up as close to new as possible. Asie from that, this truck is overall in very good condition. As 1993 Cheyenne C1500 with a 4.3L engine and two wheels drive, it’s actually quite stunning to see that this rig only has 150,000 miles on the odometer! Shawn says that, though he has done work on several cars in the past, he isn’t thoroughly skilled in how to do frame work and body work, which are the two things this Cheyenne definitely needs. Regardless, we’re sure that he’ll manage to get this truck back on its feet, especially with help from other forum members!
