CF Build

When it comes to Chevy vans, they really aren’t recognized enough. Most people prefer the trucks or SUVs over something like the Chevy Express. After all, trucks look cool and can haul and pull quite well, and SUVs have a more practical use for many daily drivers who may need to carry the family or luggage for a trip. However, van shave a more specific ability to simply haul a load away from the prying eye, which simply isn’t needed as often as the other rides. But that doesn’t mean that they aren’t needed!

Chevrolet Forums member Bikedude987 has taken on a build with his white 2007 Chevy Express 2500 extended cargo van. The rig has a 4.8L engine, a 4l80e transmission, a Dana 60 rear axle, and is 2WD. He intends to outfit the ride to accommodate his dirt bikes, so that he can haul them securely and without them being visible to the public. He definitely chose the right van for the job!

He has just laid down his 8 feet of E-Track, which will hold the bikes in place. He also has a Class IV hitch on it’s way. In the future he hopes to build a welded subframe that will clip the E-Track and act as a tie-down point. He also hopes to add some passenger space as well. Lastly, he plans to add a new stereo and a back-up camera if his funds allow it.

Overall, this build is coming along nicely and will be wonderful to see when complete! Go stop by Bikedude987’s build thread and show your support!
