There’s certainly no question about what car Chevrolet wants to focus on at the 2015 New York International Auto Show, which opened for media April 1. Looking to build on the kind of buzz they’ve gotten for cars like the Corvette and the Colorado, Chevy is now zeroing in on the new 2016 Chevy Malibu.

Picking up a few design cues from its bigger stablemate, the Impala, the new Malibu is definitely well-deserving of the attention. In addition to an all-new design, the midsize sedan features an all-new hybrid powertrain that will give the vehicle an estimated 48 mpg city, 45 mpg highway – and 47 mpg combined.

Of course, there’s a fair share of Chevy performance cars and pickups on display at the New York show as well, including the new Corvette Z06, which is still a huge attraction on the auto show circuit.
