2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD

Got ideas on how to help with an engine swap on a 2002 Silverado 2500?

We came across a thread in our Forums recently from a member seeking a little help. ChevyGuy617 has a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. He is doing an engine swap and has a few questions. So we decided to send out the Bat-Signal to fellow enthusiasts.

He posted in this thread, entitled “Help! NV4500 swap 02 2500HD 6.0.” We’ll let him explain.

Hello thank you in advance for reading and seeing if you can help!

I own an ’02 2500HD 6.0/4l80E 4wd floor shift base model, I bought a donor for the swap…a rotted out ’02 2500hd 6.0/nv4500/ 4wd floor shift. (Both are reg cab long bed) I’ve just about pulled everything from the donor I believe…

So now you’re up to speed on my plans. My question, the harness on the donor is rough. Bunch of the tabs on the clips are broken and some wires cut (before I bought it). Do I need to swap harnesses? So far I’ve grabbed the computer, steering column, clutch pedal, engine, trans, tcase, crossmember and drive shafts.

Thank you again.
