Chevy ‘Batter Up!’ Contest Lets Kids Live Out their Baseball Dreams

By -

To enter, kids must submit a 30-60 second video at the Chevy Baseball website showing off their best on-camera skills no later than May 31. The video should including interview questions and demonstrate a knowledge of MLB stars. And let’s be honest, any good young baseball fan can probably recite stats better than players can!

Each entry will be judged based on presence, passion for baseball, and clarity/enunciation. The two lucky kids win a trip for four to Washington, D.C. to attend MLB’s Midsummer Classic. During All-Star Media Day, they’ll get the chance to live out their dreams and show off their skills by interviewing players and coaches.

The Batter Up! contest is just the latest such effort from Chevy, a long-time supporter of youth sports. Over the last decade plus, the Chevy Youth Baseball program has reached over 6.7 million kids. The automaker has donated a whopping 136,000 equipment kits and hosted 1,637 free baseball clinics during that time.
