Chevy Diesel Trucks Show off in Style

Chevy diesel trucks are good for much more than just hauling stuff. They’re also huge, oil burning fun machines!

For most of their history, gas-powered trucks remained far and away the most popular among buyers. But over the last couple of decades, that preference has shifted dramatically toward oil burners. And the reasons why are pretty obvious. You get tons of torque, rock solid reliability, and superior fuel economy right off the bat. But Chevy diesel trucks also offer nearly infinite possibilities in terms of upgrades. And that potential has opened up an entirely new and exciting market.

Just take this latest video from Diesel Truck Authority, for example. Chock full of amazing Chevy diesel rides, it presents compelling evidence that America has gone crazy for oil burners. For all of the reasons above, but also because they’re downright fun. After all, who the heck doesn’t enjoy flinging around mud and snow, turbos wailing, with black smoke churning from giant pipes?

Of course, this particular video is an equal opportunity effort. You’ll see examples from those “other” brands, but the Chevy diesel trucks here are well worth that minor annoyance. There’s plenty of excellent Bow Tie eye candy, from a lifted box Chevy playing in the snow to a newer Duramax effortlessly smoking its tires.

When we were kids, we all dreamed about one day owning some big boy toys. And that spirit obviously never goes away. We’re just lucky enough that today, the Chevy diesel trucks we use as workhorses are also more than capable of making fun toys, too. There’s no better way to elicit grins and giggles than stomping the go pedal on a powerful diesel. Whether you’re on pavement, mud, or powdery winter snow!
