GMC Canyon on Tracks Is Simply Unstoppable

If you need to bowl over huge downed trees and through deep snow, we’ve got the perfect solution!

If you ever find yourself sitting around bored, let us be the first to tell you that YouTube is a fantastic time waster. Whether you want to see amazing mud slinging footage or some of the coolest trucks on the planet, there’s more than enough material to keep you occupied until you get tired of watching. Or until your significant other comes home with a long to-do list. But of the many (many, many) hours of YouTube vids we’ve watched lately, the clip of this GMC Canyon on tracks is one of the very coolest things we’ve seen.

GMC Canyon

It’s not like the Canyon isn’t a capable off-road machine in its own right. With normal all-terrain tires. But when you throw on a set of tracks, the game changes completely. Now you’re traversing over terrain and rocks that most trucks couldn’t dream of taking on. Or in the case of this particular clip, huge fallen trees. We imagine that there aren’t too many obstacles of any girth that could stop this GMC Canyon in its tracks. Literally and figuratively speaking.

If that’s not enough, this particular truck has lost its bed in favor of a track-equipped trailer. With a hinge in the middle, it can easily climb up and over obstacles without any kind of chassis flex. It’s unclear from the video where this particular truck resides, but we’ve seen similar setups in places like Iceland, where treacherous terrain requires special trucks to traverse.

Regardless, this amazing GMC Canyon has us pondering the same kind of build. A full track conversion might not be that practical on public roads, but it sure looks like fun everywhere else. And if you aren’t ready to take the plunge just yet, you could always just order up some removable tracks like those from Track N’ Go!
