Heavy Chevy Trucks Haul More Than Loads (Video)

These amazing pickups prove that the laws of physics are no match for the modern day hot rodder.

There’s a common misconception that’s existed on this planet for decades now. And that’s the thought that trucks can’t go fast. True enthusiasts obviously know better than that. They (and manufacturers) have been defying the laws of physics nearly as long as the hot rod movement has existed. Today, we know that heavy Chevy trucks are more than capable of hauling tail down the drag strip. And this video from YouTuber BigKleib34 is concrete proof of that.

From a seriously gorgeous vintage GMC ‘ute to modern day Silverados, this video is chock full of fast full-size pickups. Heck, there’s even a classic C10 that rips off a mid-10 second quarter mile blast. Close your eyes, and you’d never know these nasty sounding pickups were anything but race cars. But that would ruin the fun, now wouldn’t it?

And lest you think that pickups can’t hook with little weight in the back, think again. Here we also get to see a box Chevy squat and plant like nobody’s business. The short bed pickup nearly takes out a Camaro before laying waste to a Chevy SS. But that isn’t the only one. This video is so full of 10-second Chevy trucks you’d think these things were mass produced in a factory somewhere.

Proving once again that the laws of physics are no match for modern day hot rodders. Stuff enough power in Chevy trucks, get them to hook, and you’re going to break some hearts on the drag strip. It’s a simple formula for success, no doubt. Plus, what’s more satisfying than seeing the look on some poor schmuck’s face after whipping him in a pickup?
