LS-Swapped Morris Minor Pickup Makes Serious Smoke

Carr fires it up and it sounds mean. Then the Hoonigan guys ask him what it sounds like with the cutouts open. Carr replies, “I dunno. I’ve never taken them off.” Of course, wrenches are procured and the aforementioned cutouts are removed. We agree with the guys: he should run it like that all the time.

Just before he lays some rubber down in front of the Donut Garage the cameraman notices his gas pedal, which features an integrated toe bar. We’ve seen these called tow hooks too, and the purpose is pretty clear when you look at it. Carr explains, “in case your throttle sticks you can say ‘oh shit’ and lift up.” Well put.

Not only is it the first time Carr’s run the Morris without cutouts, it’s the first burnout he’s done in the pickup too. Though it’s just an open differential, that’s probably a good thing. The truck spins the 18-inch wide rear tire like it’s nothing. Especially with a little help from some liquid horsepower another Hoonigan staffer puts down.

Carr says, “that was a good time, man, you got me shakin’.”
