Mecum Glendale Returns for 2025 with More Than 2K Entries

Mecum Auctions makes an epic return to State Farm Stadium, March 18-22, showcasing an estimated 2,000 classic and collector vehicles crossing the auction block. And boy, are there some lookers this year in Arizona!

1968 Chevrolet C10 Pickup
Custom SEMA build stands out with with its stout 370 CI Gen 4 6.0-liter Hustler Racing V8 engine, dynoed by Westec for peak performance. It features hypereutectic pistons, floating dimple rods, a steel 3.622-inch stroke crankshaft, CNC-ported RHS cylinder heads, and a custom Hustler camshaft.
The engine is dressed in a custom paint job to match the vehicle, with Rab billet front accessories and a custom air intake.
The exterior is Candy Apple Red and Silver two-tone, with a complementary painted boxed frame. The engine compartment, inside bed, and cab are also finished in Candy Red with a flat clear coat.
Inside, the custom black interior includes an Ididit steering column, Vintage Air, a Holley digital screen, and power windows. The shaved firewall, roofline, and new side mirrors with blinkers enhance the clean, sleek look.
The custom wood bed, stained with Candy Wildfire concentrate, adds luxury, while the GSI front clip, back half, and new drive shaft provide performance.
A Mustang II rack and air suspension with powder-coated components are definitely big upgrades compared to the factory equipment.
LS3-Swapped 1971 Chevrolet K10 Pickup
This Black Shortbed Stepside underwent a professional frame-off restoration by Bennets Garage of Mesa, Arizona, completed in February 2025. At its core is a good ol’ reliable GM Cruise and Connect 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate engine, delivering 530 HP.
Drivetrain consists of a new custom-built 4L80E automatic transmission with a 208 transfer case, courtesy of Monster Transmission. The front and rear axles are professionally rebuilt with hefty 3.73 gears for improved performance.
The truck features a new Rough Country six-inch suspension lift kit, along with custom billet Vertex front and rear shocks with reservoirs. It’s equipped with slotted and drilled four-wheel disc brakes for enhanced stopping power. The custom Entropy Performance cooling system and Old Air Hurricane Series air conditioning and heating ensure optimal comfort and reliability.
The GM Deep Black PPG 2-stage paint has been expertly sanded and buffed to a high-gloss finish. Inside, a one-off custom-designed interior by Guy Designz in Tuscan Cigar Saddle provides a luxurious touch.
The truck sits on 22×12-inch TIS off-road wheels wrapped in 35-inch mud terrain tires. The Smokey Road Rod Shop aluminum custom bed floor, with hidden stainless hardware, completes the build with a sleek, rugged appearance.
1982 Chevrolet K5 Blazer
Striking 1982 Chevrolet K5 Blazer boasts a stunning orange hue with a custom black and orange interior. The truck underwent a comprehensive restoration, showcasing a detailed 350 CI V-8 engine and a meticulously finished engine bay.
The interior has Houndstooth bucket seats and a rear bench seat for added comfort. It also includes factory air conditioning, a definite plus lol. The truck is upgraded with an extreme custom stereo system by Kicker, ensuring top-notch sound quality.
The rear power window in the fold-down gate and the cowl induction hood complete the build’s impressive look and performance.
Extras for Family
The Adventure Zone is back with exciting new upgrades, featuring larger Power Wheels that let older children join younger fans on the track. Additional activities like coloring contests, slot car racing, and miniature car painting promise non-stop entertainment for the youngest attendees.
Gates open daily at 8 a.m., with Road Art kicking off at 9 a.m. and the car auction beginning at 10 a.m. The 2024 Mecum Glendale event saw more than $54 million in total sales, with 942 vehicles finding new owners.
