Drool Over These 1947 Chevy Restomod Photos

Restomod creations are becoming more and more popular due to the fact that you can drive the old-school hot rod you love, but not have to deal with the headaches that come with a 60-plus year-old car.

This particular 1947 Chevy pickup truck is a perfect example of why restomods are taking the country over by storm. The body is as “natural” as it can be, displaying a raw, sanded-down, and unpainted look. The interior is also as simple and original as it gets, displaying nothing but to basics that were included in nearly 70 years ago!

As with most restomods, there’s a lot more than what meets the eye, because this throwback pickup truck features a 5.7-liter V8 engine from a 1993 Corvette, a tuned Edelbrock carburetor, as well as a custom exhaust system that exits right by the passenger’s side door. The whole package is said to have about 7,000 miles on it.

Obviously, the only visual queue that gives away this restomod, are the Corvette C5 wheels with modern rubber. Heck, even the vintage headlamps and body lights are power by LEDs. Talk about flying under the radar!

How cool would it be to cruise around around town in a truck that handles and performs like a modern vehicle, but looks this damn good?
