Tuned & Lifted Silverado Shows Simplicity Is Superior
Silverado shows that you don’t always have to be over the top to express your tastes and enjoy your truck. Subtle modifications can pay off!
You don’t have to look very far to find a truck that has excessive modifications from tip to tail. Sure, you can accredit the old “to each their own” adage. However, it’s apparent to most of the world when something is a little, well, overdone. However, in the case of this Silverado, the owner took the opposite approach. While it doesn’t have any excessively flamboyant modifications, for the most part, the modifications it does have are just enough to tip the scales.
This truck was featured in a recent episode of the AmericanTruck customer builds series featured on the company’s Youtube channel. Host Eric Donaldson interviews the owner, Theresa, about all of the modifications she’s done. Let’s dive in and check this truck out!
Barricade Bumpers Fit the Truck’s Body Lines Nicely
Theresa has a matching said of Barricade HD bumpers on her Silverado. While they are a bit beefier than stock bumpers, they don’t distract from the body lines in any intrusive way.
“I just wanted something different. I like my vehicles and things to look different than everybody else’s. They look very aggressive,” says Theresa.
She explains that she’s been hit in both the front and the rear since installing the bumpers. Fortunately, their rigidity helped prevent any damage to this awesome truck!
Clearly, Theresa is a fan of purple, which is evident not only on her tow hooks and front Chevy emblem but under the hood as hell. However, she’s not just about aesthetics. This truck has some performance modifications, too.
Under the hood, she has an S&B cold air intake assembly and a J&L oil separator. In addition, she has the JMS PedalMAX drive-by-wire adjustable throttle enhancement device for improved throttle response. Finally, she also has a Diablo Sport tuner to make the most out of her supporting modifications.
In addition, her profile on the AmericanTrucks website shows that she has a good amount of camping gear on deck, too. An air mattress for the back seat and a full-size truck bed tent join the lift and tires to ensure that this truck is ready to rock and roll for any adventure.
