Every camper needs a flame thrower. No really, they do.

Have a camper? Well, we’ve stumbled across an accessory you definitely need. Maybe. Probably. It’s a flame thrower, but hear us out. When you’re out in the wilderness you need fire for stuff. And if a little bit of fire is helpful, then this amount of fire is perfectly suited to your needs. What if you run into an emergency of simply having too many marshmallows? It could happen. Now you can roast them.

But let’s talk about this truck for a moment because it’s a gorgeous restoration+. The basis started as a 1968 Chevy C20 Longhorn pickup. It was a long term project according to the owner’s words on Bring A Trailer. Bought in 1989, the refurbishment wasn’t completed until 2012. So rest assured if you’ve had a long term project. Eventually they do get done, and they do get awesome.

We add the “+” in restored+ because it also comes with a restored camper. The Chevy C20 Longhorn was specifically made for campers and ranching, according to TheDrive. The heavy duty equipment means it can handle the extra heft of a camper. This camper, from Franklin, also received a restoration, and is a time capsule all the way back to 1968. It was refinished and acquired by the seller in 2011, which is just about the same time the truck’s restoration was completed. An incredible pairing that seems like it belonged together from the factory.

Back then, gas prices weren’t as high, which made the 396 cubic-inch V8 a blessing rather than a burden. Also a blessing is the 4-speed manual transmission. Not exactly something that’s necessary, but just adds to this truck’s seemingly never-ending coolness.

But of course we have to circle back to the flame thrower. Given that it’s a C20 Longhorn, it ought to have a longhorn bull skull mounted on the front.

The skull is articulated, and had a propane torch and C02 sprayer. Considering the truck’s otherwise immaculate restoration, it seems a bit unusual. But then again, the moment you think you don’t need a flame thrower.
