Watch this Chevrolet Silverado Get Burglarized By a Bear

Bear Breaks In To Chevy Silverado

In the (probable) wise words of Yogi Bear ‘Hey, Boo Boo! This backseat is like an entire buffet!’

Don’t feed the bears. It’s the most known and understood rule of those who live in wilderness country around this great nation. Bears are lazy, and always want an easy meal. Bears are also pretty smart, and this is where things get complicated. Sometimes you don’t have to feed the bears because you accidentally let them feed themselves. Just like this chonky little black bear spotted in Colorado.

Our little Yogi impersonator here is seen in a video from Viral Hog breaking into a Chevy Silverado and running off with an entire lunchbox. This is why the “don’t feed the bears” rule includes locking doors, coolers, and trashcans. In a span of less than sixty seconds, the bear manages to get the truck door open, pull out a cooler to use as a step, climb into the truck to grab the lunchbox, and then escape.

If you are the curious type and want to know more about the bear or the meal it pilfered, we sadly have nothing to report. Instead we decided the bear is named Jasper and it was stealing a freshly made Cuban sandwich, complete with a side of fried plantains.

Please folks, let this be a reminder that wild animals are always on the lookout for an easy meal. It is our duty to make sure they can’t find any of our food. Any animal that uses humans for food is an animal that is at risk of being captured and put down. If you didn’t know, that is how it works. Any bear caught on multiple occasions breaking into human dwellings for food will be euthanized. When they learn that people equal food, it becomes too much of a danger for public safety. It is only a matter of time before the bear starts trying to take food directly from people, by force if necessary.

So please friends. If you live near, or are just visiting an area of the wilderness where bears and other wildlife are active be safe and follow the basic rules. Keep your doors locked any time you are away from your home or car. Keep all food sealed and in containers that cannot be accessed by wildlife. Saving your lunch, also means potentially saving the life of a citizen of the forest.
