Default 1989 Scottsdale Horn

I'm working on the horn for my 1989 C1500, Scottsdale model with the V6. Below is a picture of the horn contact plate. The plate comes mounted on a piece of molded plastic. I'm having trouble finding a replacement part. I've been able to find the metal plate (typically sold as a corvette horn plate) but not the plate mounted on the plastic. Does anyone know if the part is (or ever was) available and what the part number might be? Thanks

Welcome from Florida. Is there any reason that you want to rebuild this horn? There are many aftermarket horns available that would work in your truck.

Couple reasons...First, I'm restoring the truck and want to stay as close to original equipment as possible. Second, the vinyl horn cover is made to fit over the molded plastic piece. The setup is a little different than the typical "button" style horns that Chevy used during the era. If I go with an aftermarket I'm going to have some fitment issues. I posted thinking that maybe someone else had dealt with this before and could point me to a parts diagram or website. Thanks

What’s going on with the horn that requires replacing the contact plate? I can’t zoom in on your pictures very well so I can’t see much detail.

The plates were making contact on their own. Looked like due to the the back of the vinyl horn cover being a little cracked and warped. Pried the plates apart with a small screwdriver and reinforced the back of the cover with some epoxy. All good now.
