I have a 1996 Silverado 5.7 1500 it’s has no check engine light and it’s dies on me sometimes when I’m not stepping on the gas pedal and it has a rough start I changed crank shaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor cap and rotors also changed the ignition coil and fuel filter runs a little rough at idle the truck idles 600-700 rpm’s

 

Check for codes anyway. Codes can be stored even if the light isn’t on. It’s also possible the CEL or control circuit may be inoperative.
