My check gages light is on. And my RPM/Speedo are stuck at 0 and the truck won’t shift out of first gear. I don’t remember the exact codes but one was for the MAF sensor and I replaced that, one was for the 02 sensor past the catalytic converter, replaced that. And one was for the ECM. I have one on the way but any other ideas on what’s happening?

 

What code led you to think the ECM needs to be replaced? I wouldn’t install a new one until you’re sure it actually needs to be and there’s not an external reason (shorted wiring for example) that caused it to malfunction in the first place.

A code does not necessarily mean a component should be replaced. They’re more like clues in a scavenger hunt - they don’t tell you what the problem is they just give you a place to start looking.

Inspect the wiring harness under the driver side dash near the bracket for the parking brake pedal - some have been known to rub through the insulation and cause the issues you’re describing.

 

having same exact problem but my code reader is pulling up torque converter clutch,and silonoid codes.
changed the vss didn't do anything.
Still have the problem. Help.
