Default 2wd to torsion bars

I want to know if I can change to torsion bars on my 90 c2500HD? If change the upper/lower arms, spindles to 4x4 version and might have to remove that support bracket on the frame where the trany is too. But I have the 4 speed granny manual transmission and you guys know small that tranny is. Why do I need that bracket anyway on manual tranny. I thought it was just there for automatic transmission. I dont know if I really have the support bracket but will check.

Is this possible?

I think it would be a very difficult task to acomplish, and I have no idea why you would want to go to the torsion bars instead of the coils.

I would sugget that you keep related questions in the same thread so we all know where you are headed with your questions.
I think it would be very difficult to install the control arms required for this swap.
