Default I need info on torsion bars

Can anyone tell me how torsion keys work. And what are the pros and cons of turning torsion bars to level out my suburban.

tightening them up raises the front end but makes it stiffer ,increases the front spring rate .the new keys change were the adjustment start's and stops ,allowing more lift .but either way you will need a alignment .

It will ride very bad. I could understand if you were doing it with a Silverado, but in a Suburban, you typically haul people a lot more often. People don't like their heads slamming into the headliner.

i have had mine done since 03 it does not ride that bad it leveled it and it Carry's the plow better ,the suburban is a little bit heaver than than a pickup ,might not notice it that much .if there is very much adjustment left on the bolts you can usually get about 1 3/4 max ,try the adjustment first before you go for the key's .
