I have a 95 k1500 5.7 . It does not crank. I tested the yellow wire on the ignition switch and bypassed the clutch safety switch. I still have no power at the starter on the purple wire. If I jump it at the starter it runs fine.

 

Likely a bad ignition switch, would be my guess. Could be starter solenoid, but not likely
