My bright light indicator stays on even when I switch back and forth between low beam and high beam...1993 Chevy C1500

 

Are you sure the headlights are actually switching to low beams?

The indicator lamp is just an additional branch off the high beams circuit - if the headlights are actually on low beams, it’s likely there’s a short to voltage within the cluster.

 

Yes they are switching back and forth indicator on the dashboard stays on

 

Try unplugging the dimmer switch and see if it turns off.

If yes, use a jumper between the power in and low beam circuit. If the indicator is still off, the dimmer switch is keeping just enough contact to light the indicator but not enough to pull adequate current for the high beams to remain on.
