I swapped my 89 tbi 350 for a 95. The 89 didn't have a crankshaft sensor but the 95 does. Can I bypass the sensor or do I need to get a different wire harness and computer?

 

As long as the computer components required for the 89 computer are in place, you should be able to just leave the sensor unplugged.

You might have to install an 89 distributor in the 95 engine but I’m not sure - you’ll have to see how it runs.

 

I tried that and it won't start. Is there a by pass?

 

The only bypass I can think of is installing an aftermarket TBI kit. I’ve never done it but they’re supposed to reasonably easy to install.
