is it obd 1 or 2
it is a 91 so i am not sure or is it obd 1.5? i had a Buick with that and the engine was ruined by an ex, saw the oil light and didn't know what it meant so he kept driving it. he was almost as big a dumb *** as i was for loaning him the car.
hey life is a learning experience right. We've all been there.
Your truck has OBD I which means you can read codes with a paperclip. Jam each end into the last 2 slots in the top row then turn the key and count the flashes.

I'm guessing you topped up the oil, so what's the issue now?

i started the engine on the buick, it was a 3100 and the rod bearings were shot, it had a real load tapping in the bottom end and almost 200,000 miles so i retired it.
