Default Rear end swap

Hello folks. My name is Rick.

I have a 93 chevy gmt400 standard cab short bed step side. Sadly it has a 4.3 v6. Auto 2wd.

thus, I bought 93 gmc big block suburban with the 4L80E Tranny. 14 bolt SF 2wd rear end with 8 lug wheels.

I need your help to find out if I can put that rear end in my 3/4 ton suburban to my 1/2 ton truck? Both are 2wd.

since same era I assume I can use whole drive train and suspension and wheels as well. 3/4 ton spindles will swap and have a bigger rodar and dual piston calipers.

I think it will be a fun stomping the neighborhood truck.

Believe the width is the same on all 2wd. 4wd is different. You will need a conversion u joint and the proportioning valve from the 3/4ton.

if I'm using the rear end and bigger Tranny from the suburban
I shouldnt need the special u joint. I can see needing the proportioning valve.

I just ran across a posi center section setup from a 2wd 14 bolt rear end. C clip type. From a 1989 square body truck.
