Default Rebuild Vortec

Hello to all

Ok, I have spare time lately and thinking of rebuilding my 5.7 Vortec in my 98 silverado C2500. Wanting to replace the camshaft with a slight Mild to Moderate cam. Yes I will replace the shaft and lifters as a set kit and replace the oil pump while i am there. Has anyone done an "In frame" on these motors, and will the pan clear with out lifting the engine? Engine does Not burn oil, and looking for suggestions on the camshaft set.... If any, Yes it's fuel injected

Thanks

I'd go mild on the camshaft. Seen too many people complain about the idling on a camshaft that was way more then they needed. Yeah, you ought to be able to remove the camshaft without needing to jack the motor up.
