Truck doesn't crank
The truck is a 95 c1500 with a 305 and a 5 speed manual.
I started with the switch under the clutch pedal and that didn't change anything. I pulled the starter out and tested the starter by putting jumper cables from the battery to the posts and the starter works fine (it's less than a year old) checked the voltage to the main power wire and had voltage then checked the power to the signal wire and it has voltage when the key is turned to the start position. Put the starter back in and ran a temporary ground from the starter to the battery and still didnt change anything. Checked the fuses and relays in the panel under the hood on the drivers side and they are all working fine. Moved back into the cab and started checking wires around the ignition and noticed some of the wires on the bottom of it were kind of burnt looking but it could have been from the solder when the connector was assembled. Bought a new ignition with the harness just to be sure and installed it with the same result. Turn the key, dash lights come on, push the clutch and try to start it and nothing happens. Zero draw on the battery in the start position, lights stay solid, no clicking or anything from the starter. Im not sure what to do now other than run a push button switch to the starter and use that. I can roll the truck down a hill and pop the clutch to start it but that doesn't help me on flat ground. Any help at all would be appreciated
