truck hesitates
When I am stopped and then give the truck some gas to get moving again it hesitates for a few seconds and then gets going. I changed the Throttle Position Sensor and it helped a little. It doesn't matter what speed I am going, when I give the truck gas it doesn't pick up speed for about 3-5 seconds. Any suggestions on what else to look at to fix the problem. It is a 1994 350 Silverado 4x4
If it’s been 2 years, I’d recommend filter replacement. They’re cheap enough it’s not worth questioning.
Please clarify the problem so we can better understand it-
When you step on the gas, there’s no engine response for a few seconds?
OR
When you step on the gas, you can feel/hear the engine rev up (or see it on the tach), but the truck doesn’t start moving forward for a few seconds?
The former indicates engine controls/fuel delivery, whereas the latter indicates the transmission.

Will the hesitation occur consistently, meaning immediately on startup, or does it have to be warmed up? Are there any other factors you’ve noticed?
Will it only occur when in gear or can you make it happen in park?
Have you tried actuating the throttle differently to see if the response changes (pressing the gas pedal more slowly or quickly than you normally would)?
Also, is it a manual or automatic transmission?

The hesitation is more noticeable when the truck is warmed up. It only happens when it gear. If I press the gas pedal hard and quick there seems to be no issue. The truck is an automatic. When I am driving down the highway and I floor the truck, the truck kicks down but you feel very little acceleration until about 5 seconds later. If I feather the gas pedal there is no issue. When I just use the normal amount of pressure on the gas pedal ( if that makes sense ) for everyday driving that's when the truck has the hesitation problem.

Running into a similar issue but have gotten a code for a misfire code P0300; P1351-ignition cool 1 and 4 control circuit high voltage (only found due to a CEL on and off) but could be a sign of a misfire of a decrease in power or hesitation. Does it have a hard time cranking? Or noticeable vibrations while idling?
When you floor it and it kicks in 5 seconds later, does it seem like normal WOT acceleration or is it sluggish?
Also do you have a scan tool to verify all sensors are working properly?
It's interesting that you're having hesitation problems at partial and WOT but not when you feather the pedal.
