01' 2500HD 6.0 Rattle On Acceleration
Hello,
I have a 01' Silverado (2500HD With a 6.0)
Recently when I rolled up to 150,000 Miles I started to hear a vibrating sound when accelerating. It sounds like it is coming from exhaust but I don't know.
I have went underneath and pushed and pulled on exhaust a little bit and nothing seems to be loose, I've heard that you can take a rubber mallet and hit the Cati and it will vibrate if it went bad, Is that something I can do to find out if thats a problem?
I have also checked and havent seen any heat shield or anything in the subject that is loose or anything like that
More Detail
- It only vibrates while under 2,000 RPM
- It stops about 1 second after releasing gas.
- Does it while idling once in a great while.
