Default 03 1500 silverado

hello, I'm currently stumped. My 03 silverado 1500 just started having power steering problems. But it only happens when I go to turn left. My first thought was power steering pump but only have problems turning one direction is weird. Anybody else run into a problem like this. I'm guessing most likely a power steering pump or hose but worth asking. Thanks

1) Verify the fluid level in the pump is correct.

2) Get the front wheels off the ground and wiggle the tires front to back and top to bottom - this will check the steering linkage, wheel bearings and ball joints for play. If anything is loose, replace it.

3) While the wheels are off the ground, start the engine and watch the steering wheel or front tires - if they’re moving on their own, that indicates a restriction in the rack or gearbox. A small amount of movement is normal - less than a 1/4 turn of the steering wheel - but if it keeps turning beyond that, a restriction is likely. You can try flushing it but typically replacement or a tear down to clean and inspect the cause will be needed.
