I've got a 2000 Chevy 2500 4x4 that I'm stumped on the actuator wiring.
4x4 wasn't working and I determined it was most likely to one of the wires coming out of the plug that goes into the actuator. I bought wiring harness, which is just the plug and wires, and the new plug has 5 wires the harness from the control module has only 4 wires. The old plug also had 5 wires and the people before just never did anything with the additional wire (left it hanging).
i can't find a 4 wire harness anywhere and I'm completely stumped. Please help

Anyone? Ive looked all over the net and can't find it. My harness that comes from the fuse box has 4 wires and my actuator is a 5 prong...the new harness for the actuator has 5 wires and this is the part every website says I need
Was doing some research for my own vehicle and came across this post. Thought I would share in case it might help others looking. I Found a wiring diagram that shows the 4x4 Actuator at FreeAutoMechanic.com It looks like the wiring harness only needs to use 4 wires as the "D" terminal does not need to be connected to anything to function. 2000 Chevy Silverado 4x4 Transfer case wiring diagram
