2000 5.3 4x4 Silverado Transmission Issues
So I have a 00' Chevy Silverado LT 5.3 4X4 Extended CabCanadian Built.
Just recently I lost 3rd and drive on the tree ONLY from a stand still.. would not accelerate from stop, only rev like it was in neutral. I still have 3 & D but I would have to manually shift up to them from 1 & 2. Also still have reverse. No whining noises, no obvious noises. Just the slip and neutral symptom. No engine codes etc. It would be as if I was driving a manual, letting off the gas because shifting in between gears with it pressed would jump the rpms, like it was trying to catch up.. and 2nd it real rough on take off, feels like the truck is running over gravel road.. only from 1-7mph..
So now this week driving normal, after going through 1 & 2 to 3.. it started slipping as I was driving literally to the point of having to downshift back too two so it would catch, and even then it didn't want too.. I was literally in neutral in every gear till finally it would catch. ALSO in D, the truck will begin to sputter like it's running out of fuel, in and out for a good 30 seconds, even if I floor it till it clears up.. it does this every so so often, now more than usual since the super slippage began.. and reverse it working when it wants too.. I'm not sure if I'm beginning to lose the actual trans or if this could be a torque converter issue...
Some direction, advice... Would be greatly appreciated.
