I have a 2002 1500HD and am looking to replace the rear bumper and mounting brackets. I have searched high and low trying to find out what style bumper/bracket combo will fit my truck. Anyone know if a 1500 style bumper/bracket would work? I have been told no but am also told that a 2500HD bumper/bracket won’t work either… I’m at a loss. Maybe a better question to ask is, are the frames the same at the rear on a 1500 and 2500 light duty? I think the 1500HD and 2500LD frames are close to the same.

 

I would prolly try and weld somthin together if you can or if your up for the hunt look for the 2500/1500 junkyard trucks and see if they are the same.
