2003 2500HD Crew Cab – Rear Dome Light Question
I’ve had this truck for about a year now and have been going through and fixing some of things the previous “mechanic” messed with.
One issue that’s not a big deal but still annoying is with the rear dome lights. When I open the doors, the front dome lights come on like they should, but the rear ones don’t. The rear lights work fine if I push the buttons on them, and they also come on if I use the headlight switch to turn on all the interior lights. Basically, the only time they don’t work is when the doors are opened.
So I’m trying to figure out if this could be an issue with the headlight switch (like maybe the front and rear lights are on separate wires), or if it’s something else I should be looking at like a BCM issue if the front and rear lights are on two different circuits?
Anyone run into this before?
