Default 2003 Silverado Manual Adjust Driver's Seat Back Twisted Sideways Suddenly?

OK, this is very weird. Suddenly, the manually adjustable on the driver's side seatback is twisted to the right/back a few inches, making driving awkward and uncomfortable. There was no recent event, like overloaded back seats, etc., that would have exerted force. At first, I thought I was just stressed out and was overthinking it. But today, after a week of not driving it, I took a spin, and the right side of the seat back is like 2-4 inches farther back than the left side. I don't know if the seat recline feature slipped(?). Perhaps something inside broke?

Any thoughts as to what might have suddenly caused this and, if so, what would the fix be>

THANKS SO MUCH!

I've got a 2006 Silverado with the manual seats, and think I understand what you are describing. While I have no idea of the fix, have you tried pulling the lever into the release position, and while its being held forward in that release position, pull EACH side of the seat all the way into the upright position? Can you get the right side all the way upright if you pull hard while someone holds the release lever? Maybe that will get them back in sync with each other.

I've not taken one apart, but think each side of the seat has a mechanism where a "tooth" drops into a "slot" for each position, and it sounds like you somehow got out of sync between the two sides.
