Default best fuel pump

Hi all..new to the forum. I was wondering what a good fuel pump brand to buy for my 06 silverado. 4.3 L. I wanted to buy the GM fuel pump, but the dealership wants 1000.00 dollars for the pump.ouch. I have 230,000 km on the truck. The pump seems to still work fine .but the gauge is starting to move a bit weird. When I fill it right up it doesn't go to full, and sitting still it moves down to 3/4 then back up again. Thinking the sending unit is starting to go. I might be running on borrowed time at 230,000 km. So I was wondering if you guys have a recommendation for a good pump other than the gm one. Thanks Randy

OEM nothing else. but if the pump works and just the gauge isn't working, then just do the sensor.

Thanks for the reply. I have to pull the pump to do the sending unit right? I thought with the mileage I have I would replace the pump too. I do really want to use the oem pump, just having a hard time swallowing that price. Does anyone else sell the oem pump other than the dealership?

thanks for that. Do I need the one with the sender and level sensor if my gauge is being a little wacky? Either way far cry from 900, boy do we get ripped off here in Canada. I was a bit confused .I see the GM GENUINEMU1417 Includes Fuel Level Sensor for 181.00 and the GM GENUINEMU1415Includes Sender and Level Sensor for 311.00 ..do I need the sender that seems to be the only difference , appreciate your help. I'm no mechanic but I can usually get it don once I get in there.lol

Are those actual OEM parts? The same as what the factory puts on. Or is that some Chinese knock-off company who calls themselves "GM Genuine"?
OEM parts for GM cars were always made by ACDelco
That price is suspiciously low.
