Default Blinker light on dash stays on even when truck is not on

Hello all, new to the site. I’ve had an issue where my blinker on the dash stays lit even when the car is turned off and not running. It’s my 2000 Silverado. I’m trying to get it restored from being an abused work truck. It’s not my daily driver so after a couple days it kills the battery. I’ve googled and can’t find where the fuse may be to pull it in hopes that it will go off. If there is one. The guy that was pulling the wiring and supposed to run new wiring etc to my rotted sockets/turn signals is mia and I’m just trying to get it to where it doesn’t run my battery down for the time being. Thanks in advance for the help.

hey buddy, he did change the ignition switch out months before doing this with the lights. I really don’t mess with vehicles unfortunately. Is there a way I can cycle the ignition switch on my own? Is that a reset or something? This was never an issue until he told me I needed a $30 part supposedly and he was going to rewire the blinkers for me and replace the sockets that were rotted.

thanks , I understand that. Is there a fuse you know of that can be pulled to get that blinker off the dash for the time being so it won’t kill the battery until I can?

Exterior lighting fuse probably. There should be a legend on the fuse box lid or your owners manual. Schematics are on charm.li
Worst case take the battery negative off.

I’m still trying to drive it as well. That’s why I haven’t disconnected the battery

well it shouldn't kill your battery while you're driving.
