Default Brake question

Just had to replace rotors calipers and pads on the rear of my 2003 1500 z71. I now have a service brakes light on. I have bled the brakes and it looks full under the hood. How do I reset this warning?

You'll probably have to have that reset with a abs capable scan tool is this intermeittent? It could be an issue with the EBCM ground (electronic brake control module).

I just finished everything today and it came on while I was bleeding the brakes. I took it up the road to make sure things were working right and it's still on.

if its the red brake warning light...did the master go dry? Pretty sure they use a reed switch in the master reservoir for the low fluid warning. If you unplug the connector does the warning light go out?

I drained all of the old fluid out and replaced with new. I check it with scanner and it didn't show any codes. The red brake light is on.

yeah, cause the codes will be chassis dtc or body dtc not powertrain codes. code readers can't read anything but powertrain codes.

did you try unplugging the brake fluid level connector on the master cylinder like i suggested.

I have not yet. Is this the connector you're talking about? I know my dad's truck has a connector that plugs into the bottom of the reservoir but mine does not.

nope. i see your truck uses a different set up. the one i referred to has a connector between the two brake lines coming out of the master cylinder.
