Exclamation Cluster issue

Hi,
I have a 2002 silverado with a cluster issue that I cant seem to solve. It has a remote start hooked up that I am currently in the process of taking out but the past owner did some terrible electrical work. I thought that might be the problem but it is seeming unlikley. The cluster only gets fuel and volt readings everything else is blank inculding the screens. I have already checked fuzes and the only thing that is out of usal is the dome lights fuze keeps breaking

Hmmm. Sounds like something critical to keep all the other gauges from working. Thing is - those are all electronic rather than mechanical, and it is possible the prior owner did something to blow the electronics in the instrument cluster. If you look online, there are services that will do instrument cluster repair for GMT800 vehicles. Usually costs a couple hundred, but you send it off and they fix whatever is wrong and send it back.
