Default how to clean corrosion off instrument cluster

i have a 2001 silverado with a parasitic draw and after some research found that its most likely the instrument cluster. ive found info on how to repair the cluster but they just say they clean the corrosion off but dont explain with what. they explain theres a large chance the corrosion is causing the issue on the circuit board so id like to try to clean it before doing a deep repair or replacement. or if theres any recommendations where to have it repaired? im going to sell the truck anyways but wanted to fix this first so the battery doesnt keep dying.

thanks

lets see a pic of the corrosion. this will determine how to clean it. It is green powder and how bad?
did you confirm the draw is gone when the cluster is disconnected?
have you disassembled the cluster and found corrosion?
if the research you refer to is internet reading...you need to test and inspect before going further.

I have not taken it apart yet. I will be borrowing some tools from a friend to test the draw next week. I will post a pic once I have taken it apart. Thank you!

have you measured the parasitic draw? is yes, what was it. do you have any aftermarket stuff wired into the vehicle..ie remote starter, phone chargers? have you unplugged the cluster to see if the draw is gone? if the draw is still there with the cluster unplugged...you are on the wrong track.
