Default computer gone ?

I have a 2007 2500HD 6.0 classic, it had the knock sensor harness pinched under the intake at the #7 intake port, getting codes on both knock sensors they ohm 100.xK and 101.xK, also after a 5 - 7 mile drive internal monitors show catalyst OK, yes and at the same time I get a code that bank 2 catalyst has weak or low performance - how can you get a code for weak performance and IM show it as accepted at the same time ? ?

new knock sensors and harness ordered to arrive in 5 days, from what I read in this forum, I don't guess the shorted harness would harm the computer, right ?

Doutful.I would not install them as GM says. I'd put RTV sealer all the way around seal. When I wash and engine down its waterproofed.

clear out the cat codes with a scan tool. test drive to run the monitor. if a low efficiency code sets, the monitor will show fail.

I've done that twice, at approx the same time the 'low efficiency' code set it shows catalyst 'yes' on my tech 2 in the list of I/M with the other three showing a 'no'
I'd think that should not happen ?
about the knock sensors, they have a piezo element ? Could I confirm function on a scope and compare several and assume highest signal is best ? Could they get damaged in shipping and the box be OK ? not sure how fragile they might be ?

post a screen shot from the tech2 showing the IM screen for all monitors. the dtc is p0430?

need to know what codes are setting for the knock sensors to send you down the right path. to confirm...you replaced the knock sensor wiring harness but not the sensors?

This is what I find - as for the knock sensors, I replaced the rear, the front looked very clean and recently installed, the harness that had been pinched across the #7 intake port was discarded and another harness was used, codes for both knock sensor #1 & #2 are showing now, a new set of knock sensors and harness ordered and shows to be delivered this evening - plan to install immediately - then clear codes and a drive - advise ?

seems weird indeed...maybe it means the test has completed....test can complete and be a pass or fail.
can you find a screen that shows pass/fail for the im monitors.

I thought the 'I/M system status' was that, yes for pass, no for fail or not finished - mail has not came yet - I had one of these '07 classic that kept showing knock sensor 2 bad, reading suggested to replace the ECM, that solved the problem in it.

new knockers, no knock codes, still get the cat low efficiency, and the yes / ok at the same time after about 4 - 6 miles, but got a new one now engine has been slow to reach temp and now have a code for that - so new thermostat tomorrow, and we try this again.

might this fix it ? ?
