Front rotor and hub assembly
Truck is a 1999 LS3500 dually with 7.4 liter engine. Have owned the truck for about ten years now. Always noticed the brakes had a spongy feel when pushing the brake pedal. Had it checked out by a mechanic who said all the full-size Chevy trucks are like that. Lately I’ve been getting more wobble than usual when braking. Pulled front tires off and this truck has a one piece rotor and hub assembly. According to the chiltons manual models with dual rear wheels use a four piece rotor assembly. It says that the rear disc brakes use the one piece rotor and hub? Little confusing to say the least. Possible the wrong assembly was used? Anyway the rotor on the drivers side has hairline cracks pretty much all the way around. Curious if anyone has this same truck and what front brake assembly they have. Also if this is the correct part does a new one come with the bearings already installed? Would anyone have a schematic? Also, this truck is a 2WD.
